Why is luxury vinyl flooring so popular?

With true-to-life images of wood, stone, and tile, combined with affordability, waterproof capabilities, and durability, it's not hard to see why luxury vinyl (LVF) is sought-after and now considered a trend. These days, while shoppers are out in droves, they are more and more looking for benefits and worth. As a result, LVF offers the most gain for your decorating dollar.

Affordable luxury

We see this in every room in the house, and some of those homes are places where, until recently, only natural materials would be considered. While it's 100% waterproof, making it ideal for wet spaces like the bath, it looks just as great in living areas, bedrooms, hallways, and other areas. This is due to modern technology like digital photography, embossing, and micro beveling.

To make it even more realistic, the material can be cut into strips and mounted on boards, called luxury vinyl plank or LVP. When it?s cut into groutable squares, the luxury vinyl tile (LVT) is usually used to echo stone or tile. Many feel the extra seams add to the authentic look.

Other advantages include:

1.Waterproofing from bottom to top, meaning it can be submerged or spill on.

2.Durability. This multi-layered product is five times thicker than original vinyl and has a top, transparent, strong melamine wear layer that protects against scratches and scuff. True LVF should be at least 8-mm in thickness, with wear layers measuring separately as 20-mils.

3.Easy care. Just sweep regularly and mop periodically with a manufacturer-approved cleaner.

4.Uncomplicated installation. This can also be a floating floor where the pieces click together and mat, then hover over the subfloor without nails or glue.
